THE LEGEND OF WHISKEY HILL
The Wilds of Westmont, or “Whiskey Hill,” as it was known to locals, was formed by Railway & Plank Road Trading during the turn of the Century in Chicago. The Brewing Industry was shut down nationwide by the Eighteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution in 1920 or better known as Prohibition Era. The Volstead Act enforced the federal ban and defined the types of alcoholic beverages that were prohibited. During the Prohibition Era and the Great Depression, fabled backwoods brewers and bootleggers took to organized crime seeking opportunities. Thus, the Legend of Whiskey Hill was born.
