Chicagoland Breweries Release 10 Versions of “Hold My Crown,” a Collaborative Brew Supporting Women in Craft Beer
After bringing together more than 20 women from a dozen suburban microbreweries earlier this month in recognition of International Women’s Day, the resulting collaboration beer, “Hold My Crown,” is hitting taps at 10 breweries and one local bottle shop this week.
The voting period has ended for the most prestigious awards that we could concoct, the Heritage Corridor Ale Trail Golden Growlers. Plus, an epic Pollyanna tweet.
We’re tabulating up the votes for this year’s Golden Growlers, and will be announcing the winners soon. We figured if we announced them on April 1 … nobody was truly know who won.
Over 20 ladies gathered together at Skeleton Key Brewery on Sunday, March 3 to put together a Lithuanian Pale Ale collaboration that will hitting the taps soon at many different locations soon.
Old School Made Me Do It is a West Coast IPA, weighing in at 5.9% ABV.

The Festival of Wood and Barrel-Aged Beer took place over the weekend. Over 400 entries were received for this first-class festival, put on by the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild. And, the Heritage Corridor Ale Trail breweries pulled in some hardware, including Werk Force Brewing – who pulled in GOLD AND SILVER in the Fruit Beer category.
