Back in the Saddle
We’re back at it here at the Heritage Corridor Ale Trail. After a week of PTO and escape from the interwebs, it’s time to bring you the news about all things beer around here.

Dreaming of Ike & Oak
The Woodridge-based brewery has introduced a dreamsicle beer, and I couldn’t be more excited! Hazy, creamy, notes of orange and vanilla. Lactose to make it even tastier. Weighs in a 6.3% ABV.
They also brought back Mt. Massive, a NEIPA at 8.1% ABV.
UPDATE: 7/9 – Woollysicle is now in cans!
Hickory Creek Introduces their Michelada
Gary from Hickory Creek has created a tasty little beer cocktail. He started with a Mighty Oak ESB (Extra Strong Bitter), adding clamato, lime and spices. Get your hands on one today!

Mad Hatchet is “Currantly” Possessed
I love the puns, what can I say. And, Mad Hatchet not only brought us a killer beer, they brought us one with a great name. “Currently Possessed” is a kettle sour aged with black currants (get it … get it?). It’s definitely a winner … and check out the color!
Sometimes It’s Time For Something Completely Different
Gasp, I know … I said it. But, sometimes, especially on a hot day … you want something different. Ike & Oak brings you “Ike Claw,” a vodka-seltzer with a touch of lime and passion fruit. They also have fruit purees they can add to the mix. Those flavors are: huckleberry, mango, peach, raspberry, and strawberry.
Metal Monkey Brewing‘s latest is a wheat beer with strawberry. As the name suggests, its perfect for kicking back and relaxing on a hot summer day. It’s lightly hopped, weiging in a 5.0% ABV and 20 IBUs.
It’s Hotter Inside Iron&Glass Than Outside
And that’s because of their latest drop at their Romeoville location. They’ve got Neon River and Acid Prism Tropical Storm from Riverlands Brewing Company (St. Charles, IL) and Galaxy Bowl from Hop Butcher (Darien).
Acid Prism Tropical Storm brings mango, pineapple and passion fruit to the table with lactose – 5.75% ABV. Neon River is a New England Double IPA with pineapple, orange and grapefruit at a 8% ABV. Galaxy Bowl is a Galaxy-hopped Double India Pale Ale with flavors of peach, pineapple, and passion fruit. 7.5% ABV.

Pollyanna’s Flagship Golden Ale is Back
Cans and kegs of The Full Lemonty are back in stock at all three Pollyanna Brewing locations. This is their original, flagship golden ale that bears their home village’s name inside the beer name. It’s a great beer to have in the fridge, especially when its 90 degrees outside!
A Pop-Up Nor’Easter Spotted
Get your cans of Nor’Easter before the beer storm dissipates! This is Garage Band Brewing’s Triple Dry Hopped New England IPA. TDHNEIPA? New acronym I’m starting right here. This Hazy is packed with El Dorado, Ekuanot, Mosaic and Citra hops.
By the way, I’m starting a rumor that the can indirectly is a homage to former NHL goalie Curtis Joseph. I miss hockey.
All Hail The King
King Rool has made his royal debut at Whiskey Hill Brewing Company in Westmont. It’s a 7.5% Mosaic IPA that balances bready malt sweetness with moderate bitterness. Tasting notes: pine, berries, grapefruit.
The Next in Skeleton Key’s Tiki Sour Series
Paintball Fight in the Pool is going to go quick! It’s the latest from Skeleton Key Brewery, and they only have 5 gallons. It’s a Kettle Sour with Pineapple, Orange, Lime and Rum spices. It sounds amazing, and you will all have to fight me off for it!

Is it Truly Summer Without Pollyanna’s Raspberry Beer?
Summery is back out in cans and draft at all three Pollyanna Brewing Company locations. It’s been a strange summer, but this wheat ale with raspberries keeps every its drinkers looking positive! That’s what Pollyanna is known for.
Black is Beautiful – Miskatonic Brewing Company

The latter will be released on Saturday, July 18th at Miskatonic. Proceeds from both will be donated to the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund.
