Today is Giving Off Vibes of Coconut

That’s because Tangled Roots Brewing Company is bringing us a Berliner Weiss called Coconut Vibes.  It’s a sour beer that’s so tart and refreshing, you will want a second glass!  Especially if you’re enjoying it on their patio.

A Passion for Miskatonic

Make your way out to Darien to try Miskatonic’s Passionfruit Long Tongue Liar.  Over 400 lbs of passionfruit was used during the secondary fermation of this variant.  Light, acidic, and as food-friendly as it gets … make sure to get out there when a food truck is on site to truly enjoy the experience.

Coffin Fog Rolling Out of Black Horizon

We mentioned Dune Shaper in the Thursday BHBC mention, which we have a photo of here.  Also, Black Horizon rolled out Coffin Fog.  It’s a Double Dry Hopped Hazy IPA with Sabro and Cashmere hops.  Great beers for the weekend!!!

Pizza and a Beer at Flapjack

Check out this picture!  It’s the newly released Haig the Bitter Crystal-hopped edition.  Next to it is a Crowler & Meatball Pie with sliced meatballs, San Marzano tomato sauce, parmesan, provolone, caramelized onions, giardiniera, and fresh basil.

Sweet Pineapple, Thy Name is Zebra 6

Miskatonic just released its sixth installment of its rotating Hazy IPA series.  It’s hopped with Trident and Chinook hops.  If you’re a fan of the pineapple (as you can probably guess with the title of this entry), you’re going to love this beer.  If you’re a fan of hazy’s, you’re going to love this beer.  If you like beer, you’re going to love this beer.

Everyone Must Get Stone (Age Beer)

Bamm-Bamm is still in love with Pebbles, and we are still in love with this beer from Will County Brewing Company.  Make sure to get your hands on Bamm-Bamm Loves Pebbles before it taps out again at Will County Brewing.

A Refreshing Stout at Black Horizon

Black Horizon released a truly unique stout, a white stout brewed with cocoa binsb, cold brew coffee, vanilla, and lactose.  With a butter cookie like malt profile, it’s a definite winner.

Not Sure I Could Choose Just One

Whiskey Hill just dropped two on us, with each having four-packs and draft pours at the taproom.

Star Room is a collab with Monochrome Brewing.  It’s a NEIPA with Citra, Sabro, and Galaxy.  You’re going to get a soft and creamy body on this one.  Expect notes of fresh pineapple, juicy peaches, and a little bit of coconut as well.

Pink Scales not only has a killer can design but look at the color of that beer!  It’s a Berliner Weiss with dragonfruit, mango, and passionfruit.  Definitely vibrant in color, with a perfect combination of light acidity and refreshing sweetness.

Two from Ike & Oak

Two tasty summer beers from Ike & Oak Brewing.

First up is Hopped Up Shandy, which uses tropical fruit juice blended with their IPA.  Going to get mango and passion fruit off on this one.  3.6%.  Next up is the Devils Towers, a Weisenbock that gives off notes fruit, bread, and spice.  7.8% on this one.

Pretty Simple to Keep It Easy with Pollyanna’s Latest

“Keep It Easy” combines Midwestern barley and corn with tropical coconut to come up with this Coconut Cream Ale.  A great combination that reminds us Midwesterns that we all wish we lived in the tropics.  Or within a short walk from Pollyanna.

A Guest Tap at Skeleton Key Brewery

Skeleton Key Brewery currently has 5 gallons of Burdock+Oak Lager from Scratch Brewing Company (Ava, IL).  Here’s the description:

This amber lager beer was brewed with roasted burdock root and oak heart wood and boasts a smooth, chocolatey malt character with a coffee-like finish from the burdock and a freshly split oak aroma of vanilla and cherries. 6.7% abv. We’ve only got 5 gallons of this, so get it while you can!

Teaching an Old Dog New Tricks

MyGrain took it’s beer Service Dog and hopped it out of this world (with Galaxy hops, pun intended).  They also used Citra and El Dorado haps.  The perfect patio sipper – head into MyGrain and grab a glass of “Galaxy Dog” today!

Have you …

Have you ever had Will County Brewing Company’s “Squeeze My Lemons”?  Have you ever had that beer in a can?  Now you “can”!  This super refreshing shandy is now available in cans.

A Truly Golden Beer

Pollyanna’s Great American Beer Festival Gold-winning Lite Thinking is back on draft.  This beer is truly worth the drive to Lemont to try it in their home tap room.

(Sorry about the huge gap under the FB video … can’t figure out why it’s doing that.)

You get a Two, You Get a Two, You Get a Two

Alter Brewing Company just brought in the second beer from their second location our of fermenter two, which weighs in a 2.2%.  It’s Super Two, and its available at two Alter locations!  (Downers Grove and St. Charles).  It’s a Belgian table beer thats a little bready with slight malt sweetness.

Gled Tae Meet Ye, My Name is Oatmeal Stout

Miskatonic released its delectable Oatmeal Stout, which is available on draft and to-go.  A definite thumbs up.

A Miskatonic – SKB Team Up

We’re a few weeks away from the tasty results of a socially distance flash collaboration.  Miskatonic and Skeleton Key Brewery are teaming up for a summery wheat ale.  It’s going to have a hit of fruit and floral from the organic rose hips being used in the boil.  And, cold-steeped Meyer lemon peel is going to bring some citrus to the party as well.

A Cream Ale from Flapjack

Now, I’m thinking this is Fantasmo, but haven’t confirmed.  Hope it is, its a great beer.

Check out these new cans from Garage Band

Nor’easter is Garage Band’s NEIPA, which will be coming soon in these awesome cans.  The beer is a hazy fruit bomb with El Dorado, Ekuanot, Mosaic, and Citra hops.

Black is Beautiful, Skeleton Key Brewery

Skeleton Key started their Black is Beautiful collab with Liquid Love Brewing this week, and it’s going to be a mixed 4-pack.  Half will be Liquid Love Brewing’s cacao nibs and Smugglers Coffee.  The other half will be a sweet plantain and toasted coconut variant.  Proceeds to benefit My Block, My Hood, My City.  Details posted when we know more!
