Hobson Meadows

Ike & Oak’s newest beer sounds truly peaceful.  Hobson Meadows is a Hefeweizen, with flavors of Guanabana, Blueberry, Banana and Clove.  The beer is sweet and tart, and has a cool looking vibrant pink hue.  Weighs in a 4.9% ABV.

If We Built It

Metal Monkey tapped “If We Built It,” a pale ale.  15 breweries are brewing this beer to raise money for Will County Habitat for Humanity.  You’ll probably see a few different posts about this in the coming weeks, as I think this is a great cause.

The Owlbear Is Flying High
The side of the can reads “Maple, Coffee, Vanilla, Lactose.”  It’s breakfast time!  Owlbear is here, Miskatonic’s Imperial Breakfast Stout.  They started out with their base beer, Dungeon Master, and added real maple and concentrated cold brew from Ten Drops Coffee.

They are also releasing Passionfruit Portmanteau, a variant of their farmhouse ale.

A Bit of Irish Coffee

Skeleton Key Brewery will be kicking off St. Paddy’s Weekend with a limited-edition “Irish Coffee” stout.  Listen to this description, “a creamy milk stout with roasty notes of whiskey-aged coffee beans and a hint of brown sugar sweetness.”

Fat Greg is Back at MyGrain

He’s home!  This traditional Irish Red is smooth and sweet, with just a hair bit of hop bitterness and aroma.  The combination of American and traditional hops makes this unique.
