If you’re a fan of pancakes, sours, or candy patches, or cookies, or simply tasty beer, this weekend will be a great one. Will County Brewing is celebrating their second anniversary. You’ll be able to keep track of the event news online at their Facebook event page – https://www.facebook.com/events/658848571592116/.
Friday, March 6
You Had Me At Cookie Beer
At 3pm today (Friday, 3/6), you’ll be able to get your hands at Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Amber Ale. This one is a tasty one, and with a 3.93 on UnTappd, everyone seems to agree. With ingredients including Red Wheat, Honey Malt, Flaked Oats and Cinnamon, I’m sure you can imagine the yummy goodness.
Social Que – Friday at 7pm
A 2 piece hard-driving alternative rock band from Chicago Illinois, creating as much sound as possible as they fuse the sounds of the late ’90s and early 2000s. They are influenced by Foo Fighters, Rolling Stones, Nirvana, Dave Matthews Band, Eve 6, The Beatles, Third Eye Blind, Bare Naked Ladies, Dispatch, Incubus, and more!
Saturday, March 7
Charity Raffle for Shorewood Hugs
From 12pm to 7pm on Saturday, there will be a 50/50 Raffle for Shorewood HUGS. This is a group that started with 5 founders, looking to raise funds to give back to the community by fulfilling wishes. They’ve almost filled 900 wishes to date within a 20-mile radium of Shorewood. They are over 50 members strong now, doing great things for the neighborhood.
The Sour Batch Kids Arrive at Noon
Will County has three Berliner Weisse’s that literally have my mouth watering as a I write this.
Meet the kids:
- Purple Reign – Blackberry Berliner Weisse
- Master of Pineapples – Pineapple Berliner Weisse
- Raspberry Pi – Raspberry Berliner Weisse
Full Circle Acoustic at 7pm
With a mixed repertoire of oldies and the current sounds, Full Circle Acoustic takes pride not only in providing good music but also in engaging its audience, leaving them wanting an encore. Influences include Jason Mraz, Colbie Callait, Stevie Wonder, Bob Marley, Bruno Mars, Coldplay and more!
Sunday, March 7
The Beer You Want For Breakfast (Well, Lunch and Dinner too)
It’s Will County’s Anniversary Two Beer, and I’m guessing that this will be the tastiest of the weekend.
Anniversary Two Blueberry Pancakes Stout
I don’t have many more details on the beer beside the obvious, but if it’s as good as Anniversary Zero (the Imperial Vanilla) and Anniversary One (Imperial S’mores), this beer will go quick.
