Tangerine and Tahiti Lime Will Help You Get Over the Mondays!
Ike and Oak just released word of a new beer hitting their taps on Monday. And, just like the weather, it has me ready for summer.
Mt. Shasta is a NEIPA with Tangerine and Tahiti Lime. It’s going to be hazy and creamy, according to Ike & Oak, with a fruit hop character! Can’t wait to try this one out!

Bark Along With the Service Dog
MyGrain’s tasty NEIPA is out in some cool looking cans.
If you haven’t had this one, it’s got some great citrus flavor. They also double dry hopped this “good boy.” Citra, Simcoe and El Dorado hops.
The brewery has a great tagline that goes with this beer, “Service dog is a beer you can drink anywhere.” Think about it.
Vanilla, Marshmallow and Peanut Butter
Black Horizon’s Limited Draft Release of “NITRO Vanilla Marshmallow Life of an Artist” caught my attention with those four words. Well, give if you include “and.”
A think and creamy beer awaits those who order a glass. Those tastes of vanilla, marshmallow and peanut butter will dance around and make your taste buds stand up and applaud.
Remember, this one is limited, get out their ASAP!

Two New Beers from Hickory Creek
Do you remember Boaty McBoatface? Here’s a link from the NY Times about that story. Hickory Creek brought out a potential cousin of Boaty, named Stouty McStout-Face. We’re still waiting for the 23-and-Me DNA testing to confirm if they are truly related. Stouty is a fine Irish Stout, weighing in at 3.9% ABV and 53 IBUs.
Also being released is Prairie Juice, a NEIPA. Hazy, hoppy and floral. Lots of Citra, Mosaic and El Dorado hops in this one. 6.2% ABV and 28.3 IBUs.

The Squeeze is On
So, I totally couldn’t think of an original title … so I’m stealing Adam’s directly from the Alter newsletter. Sorry, Adam! Check out his video at https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=246171846382864. (Facebook won’t let me embed this one)
But, as the temps improve (60+ degrees on Sunday!), a refreshing lemon wheat beer is the perfect compliment. Summer isn’t quite here, but “Heavy Squeeze” will make it feel like is it!

For those of you that keep up with the personal stuff I share on this blog, you know I have a 2 year old and a 2 month old. So, sometimes, the Sesame Street references just come out …
Anyway, we did write-up about Will County Brewing’s Second Anniversary weekend releases on another article. Find out more about their Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Amber Ale at https://heritagecorridoraletrail.com/blog/2020/03/06/celebrating-year-number-two-at-will-county-brewing-company/.
A Belgian Quad at Skeleton Key
I love Belgian beer. When I really started getting into beer, Tripel Karmaleit was a true favorite of mine. Skeleton Key is taking it up a notch and bringing a Belgian Quad to the table on Friday. Named “Words that Stay,” its a rich and malty beer. You’ll love the mix of spice and caramel. Clocks in a 10.4% ABV.

Put a Light On at Whiskey Hill
This is Whiskey Hill’s new head brewer Eric and Assistant Brewer Nico’s first beer brewed together. It’s a NEIPA that was dry hopped three times with Citra and Nelson Sauvin hops.
(On a totally random note, there is nobody on LinkedIn named Nelson Sauvin … I would have totally linked to this random person if there was such a person. Oh well, funny in my own mind.)
Anyway, you’re going to get a slightly creamy body on this one, big flavors of mango and pineapple, and a subtle piney finish.
