A little Lite Reading went a long way, as Pollyanna Brewing Company’s American Lager took home a Gold Medal from the Colorado’s Great American Beer Festival.  This was one of four gold medals, and one of 10 medals overall, won by Chicagoland brewers.

Lite Reading first appeared in June of this year.  The beer itself was brewed with 6-row and 2-row malted barley, midwestern corn, Magnum hops and water.  The beer was in competition with 152 other entries from breweries across the nation.

This is Pollyanna’s second medal at the Great American Beer Festival.  In 2016, Pollyanna took home a bronze medal for it’s Oktoberfest Lager, “Fruhauf.”
