The crew at Tangled Roots has been busy! Here’s the details on 5 new releases at the brewery.
Dry Hopped Intercontinental Pils
Tangled Roots took their award-winning Intercontinental Pils and added Mandarina Bavaria and Huell Melon hops to create a pilsner with notes or orange and cantaloupe. It’s brewed with barley grown in Ottawa, IL at Tangled Roots own farm.
I don’t know why, but the name of this one sounds like a song.
It’s Friday, my mind is drifting. I can’t wait until tomorrow. When a new days dawns and I can let achieve piece of mind, with my Sunrise Barleywine.
This brew also has roots in Ottawa, as the malted barley was grown on Tangled Roots’ farm as well. They truly embrace their nature, in more ways than one. You’re going to get notes of toffee, caramel, and a mild alcohol burn.
Blood Orange Devil’s Paint Box
This seems like the perfect name for a beer released in the Halloween-month of October. And, Tangled Roots ran with that concept during the photoshoot. For those wondering, this beer was inspired by the colors of the “Devil’s Paint Box” at Matthiessen State Park.
They took their flagship Devil’s Paint Box beer, which already has some great citrus flavors from the Cascade and Citra Hops, and amplified it with Blood Orange Puree.
Last, but not least. Make sure to click on the YouTube video embedded above for inspiration.
Put the Weiss in the Coconut
This beer will make you wish it was July. They took their award-winning Vermillion River Weiss and added lime and coconut to come up with a tasty concoction. They went 3d on the photo, so we embedded it below.
Dobroy Nochi S’mores
Dobory Nochi is Russian for “Good Night.” And, whether you’re cooking smores or having something with that S’mores flavor … it’d definitely a good night. You’ve already got the tasty stout. Crank up the chocolate and add that touch of the rest – marshmallow, graham cracker, and campfire smoke.
And, at 9.5% ABV, I know I’ll be saying “Good Night” after one of these. I can’t wait to try it!
