Back to business. On September 14, BuckleDown Brewing is releasing “Breakfast at Sea.” After reading the description (a Bourbon Barrel Aged Oatmeal Stout with Madagascar vanilla, cinnamon, and maple syrup), it’s hard to NOT think about a Saturday morning breakfast. I mean, just imagine sitting up in a chair in the kitchen, closing your eyes, and letting the aroma stimulate the senses. And, when that first drop hits the taste buds …. whoa nelly.
Then I realized that I’m taking my 18-month old son to soccer on Saturday mornings. So, now, I’m thinking about a Saturday morning brunch around noon when they open for business on Saturday, September 14.
As you see in the screenshot above, there is a blue can as well …. that’s “Stone and Sea.” It’s their Bourbon Barrel Aged Oatmeal Stout. They’re pairing both together in mixed 4-packs that day as well.
